Hal,
Thank you for writing this wonderful remembrance of a true gentleman. A better friend of the game, and those who have made it great the last half-decade, there has never been. A true friend who always went out of his way to stay in touch.
There was a lot to learn from him.
God bless,
Mark

Very nice, Hal. The material from Silva is especially moving and, in my experience with Cornish, exactly right. I put up my piece on Cornish here on The A Position: bit.ly/yBFVfn and I certainly emphasized the walking, right in the title. But it was mainly because he always made such a big thing about it himself--less as something a golf course architect naturally does, more as a way of explaining his excellent health at an advanced age!

I recently heard from Ron Whitten that he has revised "Architects" material on a huge data base, but can't find a publisher!
